It’s round five of the 2025/26 English Premier League season, with a ten-match programme split across Saturday and Sunday.

The EPL returns with a bang following the drama of the midweek UEFA Champions League action. Liverpool and Everton go toe-to-toe at Anfield in the Merseyside Derby from 12:30 BST. Will fans of the Reds or Blues be cheering loudest at full-time? You can have your say on the Gamblr app and site now.

We avoid the unpredictability of the early kick-off to bring you our Saturday treble. Our slip covers three teams from the UK capital, picking two to win on the road and the other to make home advantage count before a bumper audience. You can follow our predictions and place your bets at Gamblr, add our three to your selections, or try your luck going against us.

Brighton vs Tottenham

The first leg of our Saturday Premier League treble comes from Falmer Stadium in East Sussex, where Brighton play Tottenham. The hosts start 13th in the table after winning only one of their first four games. Fabian Hurzeler’s Seagulls have scored four goals, but conceded six, including two when losing to Bournemouth last weekend.

Tottenham travel from London, planning to get their title charge firmly back on track. Thomas Frank’s team opened with back-to-back wins over Burnley and Man City, scoring five and keeping two clean sheets. Spurs were then beaten at home by Bournemouth, but fought back to beat West Ham 3-0 in a London Derby in round four.

The head-to-head stats show Brighton beat Tottenham home and away last season, including a 3-2 at this venue in October, but this is a different Spurs. The visitors have impressed under Frank. They’re strong in defence and creative in attack. I expect the Seagulls to score and play their part in an entertaining match, but we’re backing the team with the better form.

The odds available on the away win are much bigger than I expected to find. That means backers have the value and may also fancy taking Spurs as a single bet.

West Ham vs Crystal Palace

Moving to Stratford, where we have a London derby to enjoy. West Ham enter in the relegation zone after four games played. The Hammers have just one win against three defeats, scoring four but conceding 11. It’ll be a long season for the team from the east end, and fans may be wishing they’d stuck with David Moyes when they had the chance.

Crystal Palace surprised many when winning the FA Cup and the Community Shield. The Eagles are also holding their own in the Premier League. Palace arrive in ninth, thanks to one win and three draws. They are one of only three unbeaten teams left in the top tier, and I’m picking Palace to pile pressure on their rivals from across the city. There’s a feeling manager Oliver Glasner is building something important and lasting at Selhurst Park, and his players can prove it with a crucial win over the Hammers.

Crystal Palace won 2-0 when last playing at the London Stadium, and they deserve a spot in our treble. It’s worth noting the Eagles haven’t lost any of their previous six visits to Saturday’s opponents. Add that stat to their solid unbeaten league form and West Ham’s poor performances, and we have ourselves a leg with a great chance of winning.

Fulham vs Brentford

Our third and final pick from Saturday’s Premier League fixtures is another London derby, as Fulham host Brentford at Craven Cottage. You can follow the match live on TV and the best streaming apps on Saturday evening, but will the Cottagers or the Bees secure the points? We’re siding with the home win in a match that’s sure to be entertaining from the first whistle.

Examining the statistics of both clubs, we notice that Fulham have endured an unconvincing start to the season, winning one, drawing two, and losing the other three games. They were last seen in action beating Leeds United 1-0 at this venue to get off the mark for the campaign. It was far from pretty, but everyone connected to the Cottagers would gladly accept another narrow victory. Points are more important than performances at this stage.

Brentford have won one, drawn one, and lost two games so far. The Bees claimed just one of the previous six points available, holding Chelsea to a four-goal draw when last in Premier League action. They lost twice to Saturday evening’s opponents last season, and Brentford haven’t beaten Fulham since August 2023, four games ago. Do the Cottagers have the measure of their neighbours? I believe so, and, although it’ll be tight, I’m hoping Fulham will continue their winning ways against Brentford.
